Jamie was born in Sumter SC. He graduated from Thomas Sumter Academy before moving on to get degrees from North Greenville University and Winthrop University. He finished his studies at Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
He spent 10 years serving with FBC Moncks Corner as their Youth Pastor and 4 year serving as Pastor to FBC Hampton. Jamie now serves right here in Honea Path ministering to the youth and singles. He is married to Heather Brown Williams, a Charleston Southern Graduate. They have two daughters, Joy and Ann Louise.
Mike came to First Baptist Church in May 1999. Prior to his call to First Baptist he been pastor of several other churches in the upstate of South Carolina. He is a graduate of North Greenville College, Carson-Newman College (Jefferson City, Tennessee) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, Texas). Mike served from 1970-74 in the U.S. Navy. Our pastor was born is in Greenville, S.C. Mike and his wife, Billie, have two sons, one daughter in law and one grandson.
Sam was born in Greenville, SC on October 24, 1956. He grew up there, attending Washington Avenue Baptist Church throughout his early life. He was saved on July 20, 1974 at a summer youth camp. He graduated from Carolina High School in 1974, North Greenville College in 1976, and Liberty Baptist College, Lynchburg, Va. in 1980.
He is married to the former Debra Treadway, and they have two children, Jared, and Joanna. He has served several churches in upstate South Carolina, including Riverside Church in Greer, Washington Baptist Church, Ware Place, where he was ordained to the ministry, Whitefield Baptist Church, Belton, and East Pickens Baptist Church, Pickens.
He has been Associate Pastor of Worship / Administration at Honea Path First Baptist Church since February of 2002.
Allyson grew up in First Baptist Church in Honea Path and was baptized at the age of nine. She and her husband, John, moved to New Orleans in 1993 for him to obtain a Master of Divinity Degree with an emphasis in psychology and counseling. John is a clinical counselor at Anderson-Oconee Behavioral Health Services. When they returned to Honea Path in 2001, they joined HPFBC once again. She joined the staff in her current position in December 2001. Her job responsibilities include clerical support, maintaining financial and membership records, and coordinating two Meals On Wheels routes. She also assists with the Helping Hands Ministry. She is a member of the Adult Choir. The couple have one son, Isaac. Outside of work, she enjoys taking time with her family, reading and photography.
Susan has served as office assistant since August 1990. She grew up in First Baptist Church. Susan's duties include: answering the phone, verifying the church's offerings and making deposits, publishing the newsletter, preparing the bulletin, maintaining the church calendar and the First Line Prayer Line, helping with duplicating the DVDs of the worship services, and assisting with the Helping Hands Ministry of Honea Path. Susan is married to Larry Bannister of Honea Path. They have two children, Travis and Jessica, who are both members of First Baptist Church. Susan's parents are Irene Powell and the late Arnold Powell.
Joanne grew up in Honea Path First Baptist Church and was active in the music program. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bannister. When the pipe organ was purchased she was fortunate to have been given organ lessons along with two adults and one other teenager.
She moved to Spartanburg after marriage and was organist / pianist at two churches. She also worked with children and youth choirs in several churches. She was very active in adult choir and handbell choir in Spartanburg.
Linda has a Music Degree in Piano from University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. She has 40 plus years experience as church pianist and has taught piano for over 40 years. Linda is married to Brown Setterlind who is a retired Minister of Music.
They have two sons, Carl, who is Minister of Music and Worship at Biltmore Baptist Church, Asheville, NC and John, who is Minister of Music and Worship at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Weaverville, NC. The Setterlind's have eight grandchildren.
